Last updated: November 5, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of www.hawthornedentalservices.com (the “Website”) and The Hawthorne Dentist Text Messaging Program. The Website and program are operated by The Hawthorne Dentist (“we,” “us” or “our”), 13109 Hawthorne Blvd, Hawthorne, CA 90250.
By using the Website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website. Agreeing to these Terms does not enroll you in text messages. You receive text messages only if you separately opt in as described in Section 5.
1. Our Services
The Hawthorne Dentist is a family and implant dental practice in Hawthorne, California. We provide general, preventive, cosmetic, restorative, orthodontic, pediatric and emergency dental care. The Website provides information about our practice and lets you contact us or request an appointment.
2. No Dental or Medical Advice
Website content is for general information only. It is not dental or medical advice, a diagnosis or a treatment plan. Using the Website or texting with us does not create a dentist-patient relationship. That relationship begins only when one of our providers accepts you as a patient.
In an emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. For an urgent dental problem, call us at 310-775-2557. Do not use the Website or text messages for emergencies.
3. Appointments, Insurance, Offers and Payment
- Appointments. A Website request is not a confirmed appointment. Your appointment is confirmed only after our office confirms it with you.
- Insurance. Coverage and benefits are determined by your plan. You are responsible for any amount your plan does not pay.
- Offers. Special offers may be limited in time and subject to restrictions, including restrictions based on your insurance. We may change or end an offer at any time, and our office can confirm whether you qualify.
- Financing. Third-party financing, such as CareCredit, is provided by independent lenders and is subject to credit approval and the lender’s terms.
- Results. Testimonials, photos and treatment descriptions show individual experiences. Your results may vary, and no specific outcome is guaranteed.
Treatment, fees and payment arrangements are governed by the consent forms and financial agreements you complete at our office.
4. Using the Website
You must be at least 18 to use the Website on your own. A minor may use the Website only with a parent or legal guardian, who is responsible for that use.
You agree to provide accurate information and to use the Website lawfully. You agree not to:
- Submit false information or information about another person without authorization
- Interfere with the Website’s security or operation
- Use automated tools to collect Website content, except for standard search engine indexing and compliance review
- Upload malicious code or attempt unauthorized access to any system
5. SMS/Text Messaging Terms
Program name. The Hawthorne Dentist Text Messaging Program.
Program description. The Hawthorne Dentist sends text messages to people who opt in. There are two types of messages, and you choose each one separately:
- Patient care messages: appointment confirmations and reminders, scheduling and rescheduling updates, recall and checkup reminders, visit instructions, billing notices, and replies to your questions.
- Promotional messages: special offers, new patient promotions, and dental care updates.
How to opt in. You may opt in by checking the applicable unchecked box on a Website form and submitting your mobile number. You may also opt in by giving our office your consent in writing. Texting is optional. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services or receiving dental care.
Your consent applies only to messages from The Hawthorne Dentist and cannot be transferred to any other company. Promotional messages may be sent using automated technology.
Message frequency. Message frequency varies based on your appointments, your account activity and the message types you choose.
Message and data rates. Message and data rates may apply to messages we send to you and messages you send to us. We do not charge for text messages. For questions about your text or data plan, contact your wireless provider.
How to opt out. You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Reply STOP to any message. You may also reply QUIT, END, REVOKE, OPT OUT, CANCEL or UNSUBSCRIBE, or call us at 310-775-2557. After you opt out, we will send one text message confirming your request. You will then stop receiving text messages from The Hawthorne Dentist at that number, including patient care messages. We may still contact you by phone, mail or email about your care.
How to rejoin. To receive messages again, opt in the same way you did originally, or reply START to our number. We will resume sending messages after you opt back in.
How to get help. If you experience issues with the messaging program, reply HELP to any message for assistance. You can also reach our customer care team at 310-775-2557, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Pacific Time.
Carrier liability. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your wireless provider, device and network coverage. Do not rely on text messages for urgent or time-sensitive dental needs.
Eligibility. You must be at least 18 years old and be the account holder or an authorized user of the mobile number you provide. A parent or legal guardian may opt in with their own mobile number to receive messages about a minor patient.
Your number. Please tell us if your mobile number changes or if you no longer use it, so that we do not send messages to someone else.
Message privacy. Text messages are not a secure way to communicate. Please do not text sensitive health information, Social Security numbers or payment card numbers. We limit the health details included in our messages.
Mobile data privacy. Your mobile number and text messaging consent are handled as described in Section 7 and in our Privacy Policy. For privacy-related inquiries, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

- Messaging records: your opt-in and opt-out choices, including the date, time and source of each choice, and message history.
- Website usage information: your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and referring website, collected through cookies, analytics and click-fraud prevention tools.
We use this information to respond to you, schedule appointments, provide our services, send messages you opted in to, operate and protect the Website, keep required records, and comply with the law.

We may disclose information when the law requires it. We use reasonable safeguards to protect information, but no website or electronic transmission is completely secure.
Patient records. If you become a patient, your protected health information is governed by HIPAA, California law and our Notice of Privacy Practices. If those rules conflict with these Terms, they control. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights regarding your patient records.
8. Website Content
The Website’s text, images, logos, videos and design belong to us or our licensors and are protected by law. You may view and print Website pages for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, sell or reuse Website content without our written permission.
9. Outside Websites
The Website may link to websites we do not operate, such as review sites, social media and financing providers. We are not responsible for their content or practices. Their own terms and policies apply when you visit them.
10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The Website and text messaging program are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that the Website or messages will be uninterrupted, timely or error-free.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the Website or text messaging program. Our total liability for any such claim will not exceed $100.
This Section applies only to the Website and text messaging program. It does not apply to dental care or treatment, and it does not limit any right or liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute about these Terms, the Website or the text messaging program will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, unless the law requires otherwise.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page and change the “Last updated” date. Changes apply from the date they are posted. If we make a material change to the text messaging program, we will obtain any new consent the law requires. If part of these Terms cannot be enforced, the rest remain in effect.
